SOLO PROJECT / React Native for Vega

Your Next Binge

A Fire TV app for finding something you can actually watch in India.

Your Next Binge / discoveryINDIA · LIVE AVAILABILITY

TONIGHT?

IN INDIA.

Find something you can actually watch.

1,198India-scoped titles
31–33 mssemantic search on VVD
STREAMRENTBUY
Portfolio visual based on documented project facts.

OVERVIEW

A React Native for Vega discovery app that checks streaming, rental, and purchase availability. It combines live TMDB data with an on-device semantic search index and watchlists that persist across restarts.

ENGINEERING NOTEThe bundled index covers 1,198 India-scoped titles. Semantic search returned results in 31–33 ms on the Vega Virtual Device.

TECHNOLOGIES

  • React Native for Vega
  • TypeScript
  • TMDB API
  • Vector search

SOLO PROJECT / Go

mem

Find files by what you remember, not what they’re named.

mem / sample searchGO · SQLITE FTS5
$ mem search "the PDF about Linux process scheduling"

[99%] l.pdf
       Matches: linux, process
... Linux exposes this >> process << behind splash screens ...
Search output · example documented in the project README

OVERVIEW

A local-first file search tool that indexes document text and ranks results with SQLite FTS5. It extracts text from common office formats and PDFs, with an OCR quality gate for printed text in images.

ENGINEERING NOTESearch explains how it parsed a query and reports an honest miss instead of filling the results with unrelated files.

TECHNOLOGIES

  • Go
  • SQLite FTS5
  • Bubble Tea
  • OCR

SOLO PROJECT / Rust

AirBlued

Manage Bluetooth devices from a terminal, without shelling out to bluetoothctl.

SIMPLIFIED CONTROL PATH

01 / INTERFACEratatui
02 / APPevent loop
03 / BLUETOOTHbluer · D-Bus
04 / LINUXbluetoothd
Terminal UI to the Linux Bluetooth service · simplified from project documentation

OVERVIEW

A Rust terminal interface for Linux Bluetooth. It connects to bluetoothd over system D-Bus, supports live device discovery, and provides device actions such as connect, trust, rename, and remove.

ENGINEERING NOTEBackground Bluetooth tasks report events to the application loop over a channel, keeping device work out of the terminal rendering path.

03 CURRENT CURIOSITIES

What I’m exploring

  • 01DevOps and Linux systems

How software behaves beneath the interface and the systems that run it.

  • 02Local-first search

Indexing, ranking, and making results explain themselves.

  • 03AI

Exploring practical ways to make software more useful.

04 ABOUT

ELLIOT & MIKU

I like making tricky things feel manageable.

I’m a first-year CSE (AI & ML) student at MIT Mumbai. I build software around practical problems: finding a document by its contents, managing Bluetooth devices on Linux, and discovering what’s available to watch in India.

I care about the decisions behind the feature list: clear boundaries, useful fallbacks, and software that behaves predictably.
